Where's Dunsany?
Yeah, I've been busy. Too busy to blog. Too busy to update the web-comic.
Well, for one, I've been putting the final touches on Geek Girl, the Novel. Look for that soon.
And second, I'm in the middle of a job change. I'm stepping away from security consulting for a while and going corporate. Rather than write a long post about what that means, I'm just going to link to Mark Curphey's wonderful post on Security jobs: Services versus Corporate.
He says it perfectly: "...its a hard and often lonely life on the road. It was great in my 30’s but became hard in my 30 ’s. Corporate security offers opportunities to dive deep into subjects and a better work life balance than consulting... I would be looking for a corporate CSO type job probably with a bank and probably in Europe."
Yep, agreed. And that's where I'm going. From the lonely life of a consultant on the road to a corporate CSO type job probably with a bank.
Still working on the "probably in Europe." part.
